As I sit here in my freezing home (24 degrees, and falling), I have come forth to entertain you once again. Or, to at least massage your brain with this picture of some random mysterious object
Appearances may be deceiving, so don’t pop off with your initial answer without thinking about it!

the dial makes me think of a radio tuner, this ones impossible theres so much detail going on!
Zooming in on it gives some clues, with “stereoscopic head”, “focal depth”, “dist”, “filters”, “dull, ???, clear, bright”… I’m thinking it’s a 3D camera of some sort.
Okay, I think enough time has passed. This is a Jaeger LeCoultre Compass 35mm camera – one of the most technically advanced gadgets of 1930s. Only 4000 were made, and are each worth about $1800 US. I added another picture to reveal its function (above).
