Ketchup Flavored Potato Chips?

I guess somewhere there is a market for this. I’m not so sure, maybe for college kids and LAN parties?

I think I have eaten ketchup flavored potato chips some years ago. I remember that they had a nice tomatoish taste. Quite nice actually. At least not any worse/better than the other more usual flavors.

Ketchup flavoured chips have been around in Canada for ever and people actually like them!

These have been out for as long as I can remember. I don’t like them but my cousins do. Personally I’d rather have almost any kind of chips (I only want ketchup on my fries).

Obviously I need to get up to the Great White North a little more often. I’m surprised I didn’t learn this little tidbit from my travels to Vancouver. :-)

Wow, you’ve never heard of these?! I’m from Newfoundland and I can’t remember not having ketchup chips. Now they’ve always been Lays and I’ve never seen Heinz ones but still.

Hi Seth, yes I guess it is odd. To top it off, from all my time in the military I’ve visited 25 countries in Europe, Asia, North/Central/South Americas and never had the, erm, privilege(?) of having these before.

I guess I’m going to have to go out of my way now and actually try these things if for no other reason than to dispel any notion of how lame I must be. :-P

Yes, Ive been all over the world as well but the only place I’ve seen them is in Canada. :/

You know, It’s kinda funny to me. It make perfectly good sense to put ketchup on French fries but as soon as you put some on potato chips people freak (That means you my fellow Americans)I don’t see what the big deal is? I mean you put ketchup on your fries right(Mayo if your from the UK… Hey are you thinking what I’m thinking “Mayo chips!” I could be on to something!)so why not eat ketchup flavored “Fried” potato chips! I love them but I can’t find them down here in south Texas… My local Wal-Mart did have some Herr’s Heinz ketchup potato chips once or twice but now they don’t have them anymore, And they look at me like I’m crazy when I ask them when they are going to get more! So I gave up and now I order them online… So screw you America, with your non ketchup flavored potato chip liking taste buds!! Peace!!!

I do like Mayo with my fries. I’m not sure why i started doing that about 15 years ago, but I don’t think mayo chips sounds nearly as appetizing. I’m weird, I admit it. :-)
