Crop Circle - Pi

Is it aliens using a base method of mathematics to communicate with us or a bunch of pranksters with a cool puzzle?

This crop circle near Barbury Castle was baffling ‘experts’ until a retired astrophysicist glanced at the photo and recognized it as Pi displayed out to 9 digits with the last digit 3 correctly rounded up to 4.

Can you see the little dot near the right center of the circle? It’s the decimal point, correctly positioned between 3 and 1. This circle in the photo reads ‘3.141592654′ (rounded up from 3.1415926535). Brilliant!
