Is a ‘Battlestar Galactica’ TV Movie Deal Nearly Done?

LA Times is reporting that rumors are flying around, not just on the internet, but on the set of Battlestar Galactica that a deal is in the works that will continue the series as a set of 3 TV movies after it was supposed to go dark for good in a few months.
This would be great for the franchise because there are so many fans out there like myself who just aren’t ready to let the show depart for good, even though the story arc is ending as planned all along this season. Stargate SG-1 followed their departure from 10 seasons on the boob tube with a direct to video movie, that’s a great idea and I hope BSG follows suit, otherwise we’ll sorely miss ‘6′ scenes like the one above.
The window to get the deal done is narrow because if they don’t book the time in the actor’s schedules soon, they may lose some of them to other engagements.
