GOOG Slips Android. I Say Good!

Google now expects Linux-based Android phones to ship in the fourth quarter instead of the second half of this year, according to a report. Reasons for the delays reportedly include language glitches, last-minute changes from Google, and issues over carrier branding.
Apparently the OS devs at GOOG didn’t get the word from the web app devs. They should just ship it and stick a BETA tag on it. Oh, wait. That won’t work when a real OEM or ISV customer is expected to receive something of quality. In that case, good work GOOG, the right thing to do is wait and not deliver the product until you’ve reached quality and can take that BETA tag off.
Golf clap everyone!
