GOOG Tweaks Its Favicon

Category : Web

The top row of pics below represent some of the new favicons from Google. They’ve recently been going through the exploratory process of producing a lightweight and small symbol or letter to represent ‘GOOGLE’ in the browser’s address bar.

It’s kinda-sorta in a way like the ‘g’ favicon for Geeknews…g-favicon_g_good …only mine is better. :p

The bottom collection of pics are favicons that were considered and discarded, who knows you may still see these used in a future GOOG product.

google always comes up with the coolest of ideas…

Hmmm, Google Blog failed to mention any of the above favicons. And also the above “listing” for lack of a better term fails to recognize the “honorable” mentions of the Google blog, but now I realize that this is google’s last favicon they sure are unsatisfied!

PS
The new favicon (The colorful off set g) is not as good as ether of the older ones… It makes no seance. (IT IS HORRIBLE!)

Google’s entire staff of designers could not come up with a satisfactory favicon, so they had the public join in (the new colorful offset small g)! I like the one above sweet simple, but sadly unpopular with the masses (bye bye small blue “g”).
