Variety is reporting that a new Dune project is out to writers, with the producers looking for a faithful adaptation of the Hugo- and Nebula Award-winning book. The filmmakers consider its theme of finite ecological resources particularly timely. Paramount envisions the project as a tentpole film.
This has got to be one of the tougher book adaptations possible. So please for the love of all that’s holy, just leave Sci-Fi Channel’s attempts at the foot of Herbert’s grave and leave well enough alone.
