I saw a rumor floating around e-mail at work the other day that a pair of Vista updates have successfully resolved some of the performance problems plaguing some users.

If you too are suffering from reeeeaaaallllllyyyyy long boot times for unknown reasons or horrible shutdown times, then try these out (disclaimer: at your own risk :) )-
