The Hero Machine is a Flash-based application that allows you to create characters or fantasy sports logos you’ve always imagined, but couldn’t draw for yourself. The app appears to be hosted by a Marvel Comics Virtual club.

Below is ‘The Grape Destroyer’ (clicky), that I created in about 5 minutes using an intuitive interface with a wealth of control over shapes, accessories, logos, weapons and more. When you’re done, the only way for you to save an image of your hero is via a screen capture.

Though my hero may look a little weak, be sure to check out some of the sample pre-generated heroes and villains to get a good idea of the power at your fingertips.
