HTC To Announce Multi-Touch Phone Days Before iPhone Release?
HTC recently reported that they would hold a press conference on June 5 and that they would have a ‘major announcement’.
A tipster reported to Smartphone Thoughts that HTC has their own ‘iPhone like’ device in the works with multi-touch support and all. Given the relationship HTC currently has with Windows Mobile it may be safe to assume that WM 6 will be the OS, but likely using a custom GUI.
And it wouldn’t surprise me if this is the ace up the sleeve Verizon has been expecting in order to counter the 5 year Cingular/AT&T deal Apple has for the iPhone.
